Information for Graduate Students
Graduate students enter with an understanding of academic integrity as applied to class work, but build on that with formal and informal training in the particular ethics and integrity issues expected in their particular field of study. Most of the graduate and professional schools have ethical codes that follow from or incorporate the Duke Community Standard. Links to these codes can be found here:
In addition, Ph.D. students attend Responsible Conduct in Research (RCR) training forums according to their particular program requirements.
Graduate students may encounter academic integrity issues when they are TA's and/or graders for graduate and undergraduate courses, as well as when they are instructors for their own courses. Resources dealing with these issues may be found here.
